We are here to make an impact.
At Kando we strongly believe that wastewater can be a valuable resource in improving the quality of life. Everything that we dispose of through our sewer system eventually returns to our natural water sources and is often repurposed for the agricultural sector or drinking water.
Kando’s mission is to support the water industry in improving environmental and public health by providing actionable wastewater insights that allows the utility to optimize their water cycle. By doing so, we can make a positive impact on the environment and promote sustainable practices for the betterment of society.

Establishing Smart, Event-Triggered sampling ISO Standards
In close collaboration with Kando’s team, ISO has made significant strides in advancing the digitization of wastewater regulations. During an ISO meeting hosted by the Association Française de Normalisation (AFNOR) in March 2019, smart, event-triggered sampling was officially recognized as a new industry standard.
Subsequently, ISO 5667-10 was updated in 2020 to include support for smart systems, enabling utilities worldwide to confidently adopt this enhanced solution while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Furthermore, Kando actively participates as a member of the ISO 24511 Committee, which focuses on smart city wastewater management. These activities are directly related to the development of guidelines for the management of wastewater utilities and the assessment of wastewater services, encompassing both drinking water and wastewater domains.
